Athens- Services for Lisa Ferguson 50, Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brooks Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Owen Cemetery.
Lisa passed away Wednesday Dec. 26, 2012 in Athens.
She was born Feb. 9, 1962 in Athens to Jack Leonard and Peggy Jane Wagoner Baker, and was a lifelong resident of Athens .Following graduation from Athens High School in 1980, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.
Lisa was licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in 2000, and most recently was serving as Administrator of Green Oaks Nursing Home, and was totally committed to the care and well-being of her residents. She was an active board member for Adult Protective Services. Lisa was a loving mother and daughter. Her life was devoted to her family and her career.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandmother, Mary Will Stiefel.
Survivors include her daughters, Caitlin Ferguson and fiancé Adam Jordan and Mary Grace Ferguson, both of Athens; mother and stepfather, Peggy and Billy Hall, Athens; sisters, Beverly Dickerson and husband Barry, Spring, DeAnn Baker, Payne Springs; grandmother, Zonelle Ferguson, Murchison.
Pallbearers are Barry Dickerson, Steven Shosid, Jerry Hornsby, Eric Feinman, Tony Owens and Jon Pugh.
Employees of Green Oaks Nursing Home will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
