John Charles Baber, 31, of Irving passed from this life, July 7, 2013 at his residence. A memorial service celebrating John’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Athens. Arrangements are under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home, Quinlan.
John was born Dec. 9, 1981 in Dallas to Johnny and Lisa Trammell Baber. He grew up in Athens, and graduated from Athens High School in 2000. After graduation, John joined the U. S. Air Force and served for six years. In 2001, he married Kimberlie Boger and they had a son, Benjamin Baber, born in 2002. John was employed at Verizon, Inc. in Irving where he was an implementation engineer.
He is loved and will be missed by: his mother, Lisa Trammell Turner, of Tyler; father Johnny Baber of Garland; stepfather Mike Turner of Athens; son Benjamin Michael Baber of Whitehouse; brothers Jason Baber and James Baber both of Dallas and Keith Turner of Decatur; sisters Christina Turner Rooney of Murphy, and Heather Turner Miles of Tacoma, Wash.; grandmother Annette Trammell of Athens.
He will be deeply missed by many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Wounded Warriors or charity of choice.
