Mrs. Jenna Scott, 83, of Mabank went to her eternal home March 7, 2011. Mrs. Scott was born Oct. 14, 1927 to Mr. Joe Kickirillo and wife Josephine. Mrs. Scott passed in Tyler at East Texas Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Mr. J.R. “Scotty” Scott; one daughter, Lois Buford and husband Eugene of Athens; two sons, Terry Scott and wife Judith of Mabank, Randy Scott and wife Tammy of Huntersville, N.C.; grandchildren, Lisa Dailey of Tyler, Kevin Upchurch and wife Staci of Athens, Ginger Morrison and husband Mo of Athens, Brandon Buford and wife Dena of Coppell, Jason Scott and wife Leslie of Mabank, Jessica Scott of Dallas, Janet Campbell and husband Jay of Carrollton, Danny Scott of Lewisville, Lawrence DeCottin and wife Macrina of Detroit, Mich., Nicholas Alcala and wife Alister of Mabank; great-grandchildren Slade Upchurch, Lauren Scott, Ariana Campbell, Mya Campbell, Joshua Campbell, Evan Scott, Hannah Buford, Breeona Gross, Gabe Gross, Marissa Gross, Molli Morrison, Emma Morrison, Laura DeCottin; one sister Phyllis Williams of Dallas.
Mrs. Scott was very active in her church, enjoyed sewing, craft-making and cooking, especially baking cakes for many people in the Cedar Creek Lake area.
She graduated from Crozier Tech High School in Dallas, and was employed for most of her career in the education field. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Halcyon Club.
Mrs. Scott was Church of Christ by faith, and was a member of the Mabank Church of Christ.
Services for Mrs. Scott are Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Mabank Church of Christ. Visitation was Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the church under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematory of Mabank.
