Funeral services for Travis Brown, 68, of Frankston, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at the Church of Christ in Frankston with the Rev. Chris White and the Rev. Don Canter officiating.
Burial will be held at Frankston City Cemetery, Frankston.
Mr. Brown passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 in Frankston.
He was born Aug. 5, 1944 in Jacksonville.
Mr. Brown was a dairy farmer and rancher in the Kickapoo Community for 42 years, Past Vice President of Elkhart Farmers Co-op, Past President of Anderson County Farm Service Agency, a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Vocational Agriculture, taught at Little Cypress Independent School District, and attended the Frankston Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Howard and Lonnie Rolison Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, June Brown of Frankston, sons Dr. James Travis and Nancy Brown of Frankston and Dr. Seth Howard and Dr. Kelly Brown of Corsicana, brothers-in-law Jimmie McLane and Morris McLane, sisters-in-law Martha Hicks, Joyce McLane, Emma McLane, Dorris Houston, Mary Phillips and Jackie Forester, grandchildren Casey James Brown, Laura Ashlie Brown, Cade Howard Brown and Ryan Marshall Brown, and 18 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Ethredge, Gerald Hall, Mike Cook, John Houston Bragg, Nathan Williamson, Joe Hicks, Dr. Steve Hicks and Johnny Burks.
Honorary pallbearers will be Herbert Riley, Hector Hernandez, G.V. Ousley, J.C. Hicks, Eddie Moore and the Frankston High School Class B State Championship Team of 1961.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at Autry Funeral Home in Frankston.
