A memorial service for Jackie Rhodes is scheduled for 2:00 P M Saturday,
December 1, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3650 NE Loop 7, with Randy Fambrough officiating.
She lived a full and happy life for 96 years. Since being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1950 she spent untold hours volunteering her time to share
God’s Word with others. Her parents were Jay Hue Bell and Epsie Warren Bell.
Mrs. Rhodes was the widow of Alpheus Rhodes who died in 1974.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother and sisters Bertie Bell, Maye Cox, Nell Swinney and Jo Deupree.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Alpha Jean and Arlan DeJong , Athens, grandson and his wife Ladd and Alyssa DeJong, Thornton, Colorado. In addition to the Bell, Rhodes and Warren descendents, other relatives here in Athens are her nephews Porter Deupree and Joe Deupree and their families.
