Marilyn "Sue" Williams Taylor was born Oct. 31, 1952 in Grand Saline to Tom and Perlene Johns Williams.
Mrs. Taylor went to be with Jesus at the age of 61 on Dec. 22, 2013 in Longview. She was a big Willie Nelson fan, loved Halloween and loved to laugh. She attended school in Kerens where she was a cheerleader. Sue never met a stranger, and was loved by everyone she knew.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by a granddaughter, Macy Dawn Dinger.
Survivors include: her husband, John Taylor of Gilmer; daughter Glenda Sue Dinger of Kerens; stepson, Sandy Mac Taylor of Gilmer; stepdaughter, Shanda Michelle and husband, Rick Hanshew of Gilmer; brother, Tommy Williams and wife, Robbie of Corsicana; sister, Johnnie and husband Ron Engledow of Athens; grandchildren, Sydney Danielle Dinger, Sprint Hanshew, Austin Taylor, Slade Hanshew, and Jaydyn Hayes; nieces, Amy Smith, Karen Shelton, and Lisa Belyue; nephews, Jacob Williams and Joe Don Thornton.
Graveside service was held on Thursday, Dec. 26 at the New Harmony Cemetery with Tony Pierce officiating. Arrangements were with Hilliard Funeral Home in Van. Pallbearers were Sandy Taylor, Rick Hanshew, Allen Henderson, Chad Henry and Don Harvey.
