Athens — Services for Dr. Harlee A. Wright, 72, Athens, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at North Tenneha Church of Christ with the Rev. Daryl Bowdre officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Brooks-Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Dr. Wright died Nov. 16, 2013 in Carrollton.

He was born April 21, 1941, in Henderson.  He was a graduate of Hill High School, Texas College and received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University, Commerce.  He was a retired educator and a member of the Church of Christ.

He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Lions Club, Athens, Teacher Education Program, Texas College. He was a public school teacher for Athens and Dallas Independent School Districts.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Harlee and Murdie Wright; brother Mac Wright; sister, Alyene; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Landers Wright; sons Michael Wright, Dallas, Harold Wright (vanessa), Rowlett; daughter Robbye Arthur (Kyle), Austin; brothers Roy Wright, Dallas, Samuel Wright, Diamond Bar, Calif; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Public visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time  Friday, at North Tenneha Church of Christ, 1701 N. Tenneha, Tyler.
