Nancy Ann Torrez, 65, entrusted into Heaven Jan. 9, 2014 to be with the Lord.
Nancy was born at home in Palestine to parents Amado Gomez and Rebecca Maciel Torrez. She was surrounded by family when she peacefully slipped into the loving arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
She was the second oldest of seven children.
Survivors include: her loving parents; brother, John Torrez, his wife Grace, their son, Jonathan and daughter Bella; sisters, Abigail “Toby” Fleming, Becky Chaffin, her husband, Mark and their son, Will, Patty Gallagher, her husband, Bill, and their sons, Trinidad “Trino” and Valentio, Diana Richardson, her husband Russell and their children, Robert and Rachel.
Nancy made friends and was a young-at-heart with a lot of love to give. She enjoyed cartoon characters, listening to oldies music, dancing, watching the old time Westerns and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
A visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Sunday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bryon Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery
Pallbearers will be Russell Richardson, David Teagle, Mark Chaffin, Trinidad “Trino” Robles, Bill Gallagher, William Chaffin, Jesse Herrera and Robert Dukon.
