Athens — Memorial services for Carleton “Chris” Dyer, 53, of Murchison are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brooks Taylor officiating.

Chris died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at his residence.

He was born Jan. 18, 1959 in San Augustine to the Rev. Carleton Stanford  Dyer and Audrey Tedford Dyer.

Chris was a resident of Murchison since 1997, and formerly of Houston. He was a Methodist. Chris was a Radio Personality “Chris Allen” in Lufkin, Houston and Tyler. He was a Production/Director from Townsquare Media, in Tyler (KNUE 101.5, MIX 93.1, 96.1, and 107.3)

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Homer and Earlie Mae Tedford, great-aunt and uncle, Big A and Bebe Hardin, uncle, Tim Tedford, numerous aunts and uncles from the Murchison  area.

He is survived by sons, Brandon Dyer, Murchison, Paul Gonzales, Hempstead, daughters, Rhiannon Dyer, Murchison, Kristen Kay Stone, Hughes Springs, grandchildren, Samuel, Janie, Justice, Christian and Gavin, parents, Rev. Carleton and wife Audrey Dyer, Murchison, brother, Alex Dyer, Orange, sister, Angela Lin Williams, Athens, numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and a host of wonderful friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Bob King, Randy Bridges, Tom Entwistle, Michael Gibson, Mark Henson, Jeff Reed and Jeff Evans.
