Athens-Funeral services for Wesley Scott Kemph, 18, Daingerfield, formerly of Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel, Athens, with the Rev. Eric Graham, officiating.
Burial will follow in Shelby Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
Wesley died April 5, 2012 in Daingerfield.
He was born April 5, 1994 in Athens.
Wesley was a resident of Daingerfield since 2003, and formerly of Athens, where he had attended Athens Independent School District schools until the 8th grade, and continued his education in Daingerfield.
Wesley loved music and had a God-given talent for music beyond anyone’s understanding, and he loved to all kinds of guitars. Wesley also loved the outdoors. He was a very affectionate son. He loved his family very much, and was a dedicated father. His family meant everything to him.
As many know, Wesley had a wonderful sense of humor, and a magnetic personality. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceding Wesley in death was maternal grandmother, Lola McCowan, and paternal grandmother, Guadalupe Luna.
Survivors include: his son, Eden Kemph, Daingerfield; mother, Christina and her husband Dwayne McClung Jr., Daingerfield; father, Pedro and his wife Coral Luna, Lubbock; maternal grandparents, George McCowen, Athens, Dwayne, Sr., and Cathy McClung, Pittsburg; paternal grandfather, Camilo Luna, Lubbock; brothers, Gary Kemph and his wife Angie, Pittsburg, Jesse Luna, Lubbock, Michael McClung, Pittsburg, Thomas McClung and his wife Randie, Winona; sisters, Christy Weidenbach and her husband Joseph, Daingerfield, Jasmane Luna, Coral C. Luna, both of Lubbock, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will receive friends Monday 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
