Ross Walter Chandler, 35, was booked into the Henderson County Jail early Friday for evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle and an affidavit to surrender principal from a previous arrest for aggravated robbery. Chandler remained in jail, Friday afternoon, with bond set at $6,500 on the evading arrest charge.
Chandler was arrested on the aggravated robbery complaint on June 26. He was released from jail on July 2 after posting bond of $20,000.
On July 30, Chandler was arrested for driving without a license when he was stopped by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office investigating a call of suspicious persons at a residence off Farm-to-Market Road 2494 near Athens. Several members of the Sheriff’s Office responded and began to look for a Crown Victoria seen at the location. HCSO deputies initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, Chandler. The driver was taken into custody for driving with no license. A passenger was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The two were booked into the Henderson County Detention Center and released pending court dates.
