Athens — Trinity Valley Community College has a festive celebration planned to mark its fifth-annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

The ceremony is set for Monday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. at McDonald Plaza in the center of the Athens campus. Multiple campus groups are scheduled to be a part of the festivities.

The TVCC Cardinal Brass will kick off the event with music leading up to the beginning of the ceremony. The TVCC Cheerleaders will lead Christmas cheers and, with the assistance of the internationally renowned TVCC Cardettes, escort Santa onto the premises. Santa will be available to take free pictures with those in attendance.

The Chamber Singers and Brass band will conclude the ceremony with a sing-a-long.

This is a free event open to not only the campus, but the entire community. The ceremony will start promptly at 7 and last about 30 minutes.
