The City of Seven Points City Council will be considering hiring William Kennedy for its police department during a Thursday night meeting.
Kennedy will be considered to replace Zachary Kennedy, who resigned last December.
The council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Seven Points City Hall.
Other agenda items include:
• discussing and voting on the placing of all “new business” permits with the Planning and Zoning Commission, EDC and the city council for approval; and
• voting on the use of a private car belonging to Ray and Sheila Ashley to be used for their own private community watch.
