John Price, a local certified firearms instructor, is offering a free certified handgun license class this Saturday exclusively teachers and educators.
The class will begin at 8 a.m. at Athens Cafe (located in the Heritage Square shopping center on East Tyler Street). It is a 10-hour course. Family members or friends of teachers are being offered the course at a reduced rate of $60.
A range fee of $10 is not included with the free class. Lunch is also not included at this class.
Price, a retired teacher, is certified through the Texas Department of Public Safety and is owner/operator of East Texas Big Iron Concealed Handgun Training in Henderson County.
