A Henderson County Sheriff’s Office investigation into suspected drug activity in a Payne Springs subdivision led to the arrest of a 62-year-old man Tuesday, and the discovery of methamphetamine.
Roger Dale Cullum, Sr. was arrested on the second-degree felony charge of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (four grams to 200 grams). Cullum remained in jail Wednesday, with bond set at $100,000.
On Monday, HCSO Investigator Kay Langford prepared an affidavit, and presented it to Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace Tommy Barnett.
Barnett determined that enough probable cause existed to issue a warrant to search the Golden Oaks residence.
Officers executed the warrant and found about five grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Cullum was transported to the Henderson County Justice Center for booking.
HCSO reports indicate Langford was assisted in the search by Sheriff Ray Nutt, Lt. Kendall Wellman, investigators from the HCSO, Gun Barrel City Police Chief Damon Boswell and other officers from the GBCPD.
