Calling all artists and photographers – It is time to finish those paintings and mat your photos. 

The members of the Henderson County Art Club know that this area has a surfeit of talented people working in all kinds of different media.  The Art Club wants to showcase your efforts in their annual spring show.

The Henderson County Art Club will host its 85th Spring Show and Sale, April 26 through the April 27.  They invite all area artists and photographers to enter their work. Entry forms are available, via the Club web page at: 

Paper copies are available at the 211 Gallery at 211 N. Palestine St. in Athens, and Charlie Bullock’s studio at 120 E. Larkin St. There will be copies available at the Athens Review at 201 S. Prairieville St., also in Athens.

Postmark deadline for pre-registration is Friday, April 12.  Delivery date for art and photography is Wednesday, April 24 from noon to 6 p.m.  Late registrations will be accepted at that  time. Late registration fee is $12 per piece, so try to get your entries in by the early registration date, and save that precious money. 

Fee for early registration is $7 per piece for club members and $8 for non-members.  Youth entries are free for the first piece, and $1.50 for each additional piece.

Please take note:  The Art Show has changed its venue.  It will be held at the First Methodist Church gymnasium.

Time flies, so get out the frames and cut the mats. The Art Club wants to see what everyone has been working on.
