A Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrested a 46-year-old man on a drug charge Sunday in the Cotton’s Corner area in the southeast part of the county.
James Murphy Bacon, Jr. of Frankston was charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance (1 gram to 4 grams). Bond on Bacon was set at $3,500 on the second-degree felony offense.
HCSO reports said Dep. Kenny Collard stopped Bacon on County Road 4117 and made contact with the driver.
Bacon was found to have a crystal-like substance, believed to be methamphetamine in his possesion. The deputy also discovered drug paraphernaila. A search of the vehicle revealed a substance believed to be marijuana.
Collard took Bacon into custody and transported him to the county jail for booking.
