Turn in Veterans Section material by October 25

From Staff Reports
The Athens Review

Athens — To help celebrate U.S. veterans from Henderson County, the Athens Daily Review will publish a special Veterans Section honoring those who fought for their country, and those who simply served honorably.

If you are a veteran, and wish to send a photo that has not been run in the Veterans Section in years past, please e-mail them to, or bring them to the Review office, 201 S. Prairieville St. in Athens.

Those that have run in the past issues of the Veterans Section of the Athens Review are already in our files, and will be run again.

For new contributions, please include name of the veteran, rank, years served, war in which veteran fought (if applicable), and number of years in service.

For special stories about their time in service, veterans should send stories, photos or both.  Any time they send photos, they should include names of people in the photo (if there are 10 or fewer), and an explantion of the circumstances of the photo. For example, give the time period it is in, the people involved, and the occasion.

All materials need to be either e-mailed, or brought to the Review office by 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25.
