SALINA, Kan. —
Athens Lady Hornets softball fans need to get out their pink shirts for Friday’s district opener against Brownsboro.
The game is scheduled at Peg Cain Field, and is being tagged the Pink Out Game. JV action is set to start at 5:30 p.m., while the varsity will get under way about 7 p.m.
All proceeds from the game will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Search For The Cure.
Last year, both Brownsboro and Athens raised money when they played each other at their respective home fields, and contributed a combined $1,000 for breast cancer research.
