The Rotary Club of Cedar Creek Lake is excited to be hosing its 10th-annual fundraiser golf tournament on Friday, April 26. The tournament will be held at Pinnacle Golf and Boat Club in Payne Springs.
The tournament is one of two that benefit the Rotary Club of CCL each year. The Rotary Club raises funds to benefit the Henderson County community. The club provides 30 scholarships in the amount of $500 each to students in the Mabank, Eustace and Kemp school districts.
Other organizations the CCL Rotary Club supports are both lake-area libraries, food pantries and school book give-a-ways, in addition to supporting a Klothes for Kids event. All of those efforts benefit from funds raised during the golf tournament.
The format for the tournament will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at noon. Entry fee is $70 in advance or $75 on the day of the event. Entry fee will include dinner, green fees and golf cart. Each golfer also will receive a round of golf for four from the Pinnacle Golf and Boat Club. The free golf will be for green fees and can be used any day.
“We are very excited about this tournament,” said Mike Groom, event coordinator. “We will have goodie bags, door prizes, raffle items and lots of fun playing golf.”
The Rotary Club is still looking for sponsors and teams to play in the tournament. Any-one interested in sponsoring a hole or registering a team should call Groom at 903-880-5667.
