• Keep Athens Beautiful will accept entries to its annual Christmas Decorating Contest until 5 p.m. The Keep Athens Beautiful board members will judge displays on Dec. 14. • Trinity Valley Community College community services will hold a Financial Aid Seminar at 6 p.m. in the Library Classroom on the Athens campus. • The City of Murchison will hold a community Christmas celebration from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The event will include Christmas carols by the tree and hot chocolate with Santa at the fire station.

• Henderson County Senior Citizens will sponsor a Christmas dance at the Senior Citizens Building, on State Highway 31 east, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Music will be provided by the Highway 31 Band.
