Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Drug Investigators working the Seven Points area arrested three individuals Thursday for possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine. The arrests came in two separate traffic stops on State Highway 274.
John Henry Mosley 26, Jonathan David Marrs 30 and Jason William Byrne, 27, were each charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams).
The offense falls in Felony Group 1, according to the Texas Penal Code, and carries a sentence of five to 99 years upon conviction.
According to HCSO reports, Investigators Darrell Waller, David Faught and Ronny Halbert made the first stop near Seven Points on a vehicle operated by Mosley.
The officers located about seven grams of methamphetamine, which carries a street value of about $700. Moseley was transported to the Henderson County Jail, where he awaited arraignment Friday.
A short time later, Halbert and Faught stopped a second vehicle, occupied by Marrs and Byrne. Officers found methamphetamine valued at about $5,000 in the vehicle.
Marrs and Byrne were also jailed pending arraignment Friday.
