The Athens Review
Nine-year-old Kadie Lynn of Kemp was less than 3 years-old when she started her singing career. Kadie's mother Debbie Robertson said when Kadie was 4 years-old, she performed at the Farmersville Opry.
“I used to sing Amazing Grace to her,” Robertson said. “She memorized the song and sang it at church when she was about 2-1/2 years old.”
The young girl had not even started reading by the time she could sing.
“They would hold her up to the microphone to sing during church,” Robertson said.
Kadie has already been scheduled for a number of performances this summer. On July 6, she will be at the Gun Barrel City July Fest, and on July 12, she will be in Kemp at the July Festival. Later this year, she will be on Shipp Family Ministries Gospel Cruise Fest 2013. This will be Kadie’s second adventure on the cruise ship. Arnie Shipp, CEO of the Gospel Cruise ship is Kadie's Manager.
