The Athens Review
First United Methodist Church of Athens “Crafty Ladies” are working diligently preparing for the annual Holiday Bazaar. The women volunteer their time and talentsthroughout the year to bring this bazaar to the residents of our community.
Dates and times are Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Bazaar will feature hand-painted wood projects. Handcrafted fabric projects include both holiday and year-round pieces, such as aprons, table runners, tea towels, satin pillowcases, decorative bed pillow sets and so much more.
Our florals include wreaths, wall hangings, centerpieces and tabletop trees. The jewelry creations are handcrafted in semiprecious and faux stones.
The bake sale offers a variety of pies, cakes, cookies candy, jams, jellies and pickles.
Another popular features is our quilt raffle. Tickets are on sale at the church office or at the Bazaar.
The drawing will be on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Sunday’s barbeque lunch comes with all the fixin’s. Serving time is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $10 per plate. Take-out is available.
