Would you like to read a library book on your e-reader or iPad? Would you like to listen to an audio book on your iPod, e-reader or iPad?
You can do both now through the Henderson County Murchison Memorial Library.
“One Click Digital” was rolled out at the end of September, and allows library patrons to check out books using their electronic devices. Over 4,000 audio book titles are available, and about 180 e-book titles are in the collection.
Since e-books must be purchased by the library individually, new titles will continue to be added each month.
The funding for the e-book program has been made possible through the “Books in Bloom” luncheon fundraiser which was held in April, 2013, and was supported by book lovers from all over Henderson County.
The second annual “Books in Bloom” luncheon will be held April 4, 2014, and will feature Dallas author Taylor Stevens.
Stevens is the award-winning New York Times bestselling author of “The Informationist, The Innocent and The Doll.”
