Tactical team arrests area man Thursday
Gun Barrel City resident is charged with burglary and aggravated assault
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office tactical team arrested a Gun Barrel City man Thursday morning on charges of burglary and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Todd Benjamin Gregory, 43, was booked into the Henderson County Jail Thursday afternoon with bond set at $30,000.
HCSO Warrant Deputy Billy Jack Valentine gathered information indicating Gregory was at a residence in the Tamarack Addition in GBC.
At 8 a.m. Valentine, HCSO deputies and GBC Police went to the location to serve warrants on Gregory.
Officers reportedly heard people in the residence but were unable to get anyone to answer the door.
At that point, authorities obtained an arrest warrant from Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Dale Blaylock. The tactical team was called to serve the warrant.
When they entered the residence officers found Gregory and a woman hiding in the back bedroom of the residence.
Gregory was taken into custody and transported to jail. The woman — identified as Julie Harrison — was released.
