The East Texas Medical Center Mobile Mammogra-phy Unit will be located in the front parking lot at Trinity Valley Community College-Athens on Feb. 1.
All mammograms performed on the unit are digital screening mammograms — the best-known method in the early detection of breast cancer. More information about the mobile mammography unit will be available at TVCC’s Play4Kay event at the college Wednesday night beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Cardinal Gym.
The mobile mammography unit is open to anyone who would like to take advantage of its services, and those making appointments can contact ETMC for insurance-Medicare information.
Those who would like to schedule a mammogram will be able to pick up applications at the Play4Kay event, or can call ETMC at 1-800-648-8141 (press 3).
