Athens — Essay finalists were selected. First place went to Sam Harrell; 2nd place, Carlye Hancock; and 3rd place, Moriah Joblin. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy announced their top essay contestants recently at the school. The Sons of the American Revolution Athens Chapter held their Capt. Arthur H. Hall Essay Contest at the school. The topic of the essays dealt with an event, person, philosophy or ideal associated with the American Revolution, the Declaration of Independence, or the framing of the U.S. Constitution.
