Athens — The Women of St. Matthias Episcopal Church will host the 54th anniversary of the always highly-anticipated Smorgasbord.
This year is considered especially meaningful, as the women are celebrating the life and works of the woman who founded this event, Mary Jane Gould.
The Smorgasbord is dedicated to her memory. Her generosity of spirit, her warmth, humor, culinary delights, and passion for her church are considered legend.
Join the group on Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to feast on many of her recipes, and to remember her. Tickets are $10.
St. Matthias Episcopal Church is located at 205 Willowbrook Dr., next to Bel Air School.
