Athens — The 2012 Henderson County Juvenile Probation Department Food Drive donated more 2,900 items to the Henderson County Food Pantry.

All county departments were invited to participate in a friendly competition to see who could donate the most items. In the end, the Voter Registration Office was declared victorious.

As a reward for this great accomplishment, Blu Nicholson, juvenile probation officer, awarded the 3rd Annual Giver’s Cup and plaque to Denise Hernandez.

Special thanks to all those participating which included the Voters Registration Office, County Judge’s Office, Fire Marshal’s Office, County Auditor’s Office,  County Treasurer’s Office, Sheriff’s Department and Maintenance Department.
