Athens — According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, Dep. Kenny Collard was dispatched to a fire on Sunday involving a recreational vehicle located at 13905 Country Road 2919 in Eustace.

The sheriff's report states it received a call from the Eustace Fire Department about an accusation made concerning possible arson at the location.

No arrest was made on the Sunday fire. Collard  notified Henderson County Fire Marshal Shane Renberg of the accusations.

On Monday morning, the Eustace Fire Department was called back to the same location, this time because the house was on fire.

The Payne Springs Fire Department was called out to assist Eustace firefighters, who in turn notified the sheriff's office of the second fire.

Karen Baker, 42, of Eustace and an occupant of the house was subsequently arrested for arson of a habitation. The structure fire apparently began in the living room.

Renberg said Baker then transported to the Henderson County Jail. She is being held on a $15,000 bond.

Renberg said both the RV fire and the structure fire are under investigation.
