The Athens Review
The Athens Police Department arrested a 22-year-old man for burglary on Friday after getting a call from a neighbor reporting the break-in.
Justin Glynn Adams was booked into the Henderson County Jail for burglary of a building, and two outstanding traffic warrants from the Athens Municipal Court. He remained in custody on Monday, with bond set at $15,000 on the burglary offense and $450 for failure to maintain financial responsibility.
APD received a call at about 7:45 a.m. concerning a burglary in progress in the 500 block of Underwood Street. Officer James Graham was dispatched to the scene and arrived within three minutes. Adams was taken into custody and transported to jail. His vehicle was removed by wrecker.
On Monday, APD was also investigating a weekend theft reported at a local store. The Dollar General in the 600 block of W. Corsicana Street reported shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday that a theft had just taken place. The store employee said she would review the surveillance video to try to determine what items had been taken.
