• First Baptist Church, Malakoff will host the Henderson County Black History Committee “We Love our Youth” at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Fredrick V. Moss, of Allen Chapel AME Church. Participants are asked to bring a can food item to help the food pantries in Athens and Malakoff.
• The Athens Church of God, on 599 Robbins Road, will host gospel singers Jubil Heirs in concert from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be served. For more information call Pastor Henry Lusk at 903-477-2599.

• Opelika Missionary Baptist Church, on County Road 3520, in Brownsboro, will host a revival with Bro. Jim Moss, of the Love Worth Sharing Ministries speaking. Friday, Feb. 19
• Knights of Columbus, Mary Queen of Heaven Council will host an all-you-can-eat fish fry with all the fixings in the Mary Queen of Heaven Parish Hall from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will benefit scholarship funds and local charities. Cost is $7 per adult, $5 for children from seven to 12 and free for children under six. Tickets may be purchased from a Knight at the door.

• Trinity Valley Community College, on 100 Cardinal Drive, and the Combined Community Effort Committee will host the Celebration of Gospel 2010 at 4 p.m. Admission is free but a love offering will be accepted.
