Athens —
The Athens Police Department served an arrest warrant Thursday afternoon on a woman who has been a frequent reason for police calls in recent months.
Cadedra Rogers Denson, 41, was booked into the Henderson County Jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/family violence. She remained in custody Friday afternoon with bond set at $25,000.
Officer James Graham served the warrant on Denson at 200 Williams St. The arrest stemmed from a March 4 altercation between Cadedra Denson and her mother, Rosie Denson.
In the course of the argument, Denson allegedly went into the yard and picked up a garden light stake. According to the complaint, she went back into the house and threatened to stab her mother with the stake. Denson’s mother was not harmed in the incident.
The arrest Thursday marked the fourth time Denson had been arrested in March. The other three occasions were minor offenses. She was arrested March 8 for possession of drug paraphernalia, March 6 for criminal mischief and March 6 for criminal trespass.
On March 3, Denson’s mother, Rosie, complained to police that the woman had come to her residence causing trouble. Officer Josh Beaty went to the residence and told Denson to go elsewhere.
Shortly before noon on Thursday, Denson was reported to be at J&W Auto Sales causing problems, and would not leave when the owner asked her to go.
Shortly after noon on Thursday, reports indicate that Denson was allegedly on West Corsicana Street harassing customers there.
Rosie Denson has appealed to Henderson County officials for help for her daughter who has been in frequent trouble over the past 20 years. She appeared on KLTV Channel 7 Wednesday stating that her daughters troubles began after a serious automobile accident in 1993.
