3 AISD community forums upcoming

From Staff Reports

The Athens Independent School District has three more community forums scheduled regarding its Nov. 4 bond issue.

The forums are aimed to give community members an opportunity to ask questions and learn more information about the school district’s two-pronged bond issue. Proposition 1 totals $21.5 million, while Proposition 2 is valued at $3.75 million.

The remaining forums, which include a chicken spaghetti supper, are as follows:

• Tonight, 6 p.m., at the Athens Intermediate School (307 Madole Street) cafeteria;

• Monday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. at the Athens Middle School (6800 State Highway 19 south) cafeteria; and

• Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m. at the South Athens Elementary (718 Robbins Road) cafeteria.
