TVCC game postponed
Tonight’s game between the Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals and Louisiana College JV has been postponed due to damaged caused last week by Hurricane Gustav.
TVCC second-year head coach Brad Smiley said Sunday no decision had been made on whether the game would be rescheduled.
The game had been scheduled to be played at 7 in Pineville, La.
The Cardinals are 1-0 after a 48-0 shutout of Dodge City Community College (Kan.) in their season opener at Bruce Field.
The Cardinals’ next scheduled game is Saturday, Sept. 20, at Miami, Okla., in their Southwest Junior College Football Conference opener against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. TVCC is open this week.
In game involving SWJCFC teams Saturday, Navarro roughed up Georgia Military, 25-13, and Arkansas Baptist took care of NEO in 21-6 fashion.
