Holidays happenings on the square

Jessie Mullins, front, and Linda Kenneaster set up Christmas trees on the Henderson County Courthouse square lawn Monday morning as part of the ongoing Light Up Athens Project. The project was created through charter members First National Bank (now known as Franklin Bank), First State Bank, the Central Business Association, Athens Visitors Center (AVIP) and Keep Athens Beautiful. KAB volunteers have decorated the area for six years.
