Emergency officials, including Athens Police and Athens firefighters and paramedics, assist a woman from a Jeep Laredo following a wreck at the intersection of East Corsicana and Crestway streets Tuesday. According to Athens Police Patrolman Ron McCurry, Deisi Padron, 52, of Athens was traveling eastbound on Corsicana Street when she attempted a left turn onto Crestway. She was struck by a westbound Ford F150 driven by Bobby Tarrant, 53, of Larue. Both drivers, the lone occupants in each vehicle, were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
