COMMUNITY IN MOTION: Firefighters battle barn fire





Athens and Baxter firefighters battled a storage barn fire at a residence on U.S. Highway 175 east Wednesday morning, about two miles east of Loop 7 in Athens.

No animals were kept in the barn, but a number of items inside were destroyed. No cause of the fire was immediately known.

No injuries were reported.
