SEYMOUR, Ind. — It may have looked like a scene from a World War I movie. What it actually was was more bad luck for Phillip E. Krueger.
The pilot had his single engine, World War I era bi-plane about 60 feet off the ground Tuesday when it lost power and crashed shortly after take-off at Freeman Field.
The 59-year-old pilot from Freetown, Ind., received only minor crapes and bruises, the Indiana State Police reported.
This is the second time this plane has been involved in a crash. A similar incident happened in June, 2008 when Krueger was also piloting it.
