NJCAA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT: History makers

TVCC wins third straight national title with 65-46 win over Hutchinson

SALINA, KAN. — How sweet it is!

The No. 1-ranked Trinity Valley Community College Lady Cardinals became the first NJCAA Division I program to win the title three straight years with a 65-46 victory over the Hutchinson Blue Dragons at the Salina Bicentennial Center on Saturday.

TVCC sophomore Adut Bulgak was the Most Valuable Player and a member of the all-tournament team. Teammates Deborah Meeks and Roddricka Patton were also named to the all-tournament team.

This was the Lady Cardinals eighth national title as coach Elena Lovato was named the NJCAA Coach of the Year.

With the win, TVCC finished the season with a 36-1 record.
