The community has been invited to send off the Lady Cardinals as they leave for Salina, Kan., Saturday morning. A send-off will be held in front of Cardinal Gym with the team bus set to leave at 7 a.m.
Come wish the Lady Cardinals good luck as they prepare to play for a chance at the school’s seventh women’s national basketball championship.

Texas Department of Transportation contract contruction crews work at night to repair and resurface the square in Athens in these photos taken overnight, June 11-12. This work will continue between 6p-6a Sun-Thurs through the week of June 24th, weather permitting. The Athens square is closed to traffic during the work hours. Detours are posted.
