The Malakoff Lady Tigers fell in a five-game heartbreaker to Caddo Mills Tuesday night in Region II-2A bi-district volleyball action at Kaufman High School.
The Lady Tigers (22-12) lost the first game to the Lady Foxes (30-11), 18-25, then rallied to win games two and three by scores of 25-11 and 25-21. They led the fourth game, 18-14, before the Lady Foxes rallied to win, 23-25, and then Caddo Mills finished off the match with a 15-6 win in the fifth game.
Meanwhile, the Cross Roads Lady Cats came alive in a 3-1 win over Kopperl Tuesday night at Blooming Grove High School. The Lady Cats won by scores of 25-22; 25-7; 20-25; and 25-7. Cross Roads advances to the area round of the playoffs with the win, with their next match likely coming at the end of this week.
