NJCAA WOMEN'S NATIONAL SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: A crusher in Utah

TVCC eliminated from tournament with 5-4 loss to Paris on Thursday night

ST. GEORGE, UTAH — The Trinity Valley Community College Lady Cardinals were eliminated from the NJCAA National Softball Tournament by regional rival Paris on Thursday evening.

The Lady Cardinals (33-27) lost to Paris 5-4 in walk-off fashion after trailing 4-3 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning.

This was the eighth time this season TVCC and Paris had faced each other in softball action. Paris defeated the Lady Cardinals twice in the championship games of the Region XIV tournament and took six wins in the series this season.

This was coach Ashley Johnston's first trip to the national tournament in the five year history of the program.
