Chris Underhill, shown above in his U.S. Army uniform and cavalry hat, is preparing for deployment to Afghanistan sometime soon, having been promoted to a “Specialist.” A year ago, his military and personal life were at a standstill, and attorneys worked to get him released from Henderson County Jail after he was accused of making a “hit list” at Eustace High School. It was decided there was no list, but he had to spend 46 days in jail before being released. His mother says he’s moved past all of that now.
