Trinity Valley Community College students Sarah Hensley of Martins Mill and Sam Haynie of Athens were awarded first place overall during a costume contest Wednesday at the college. The pair outshone the competition as Alice and the Mad Hatter from Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland.” About 20 students came out to the college plaza to participate in the event, which was sponsored by student activities.
