Kathy Feagin, center, has been named “Miracle Mom” by First State Bank for her work with her son, Payton, left. She was nominated by her sister, Kim Johnson, right. Feagin works a full-time job, , does therapy with her son, and takes her son to all of his doctors and therapy appointments in different town. The bank selected Feagin to be the first recipient of their $450 gift package, including $100 gift certificates to Kathy’s Boutique, Star Nail and Merry Gardens. Fifty-dollar gift certificates were to McAlisters Deli, Athens Floral and Applebee’s. Payton, who is 7, is disabled and has cerebral palsy. He uses a wheelchair and walker, but works hard every day with his mother so he can hopefully walk one day. First State Bank Vice President, Marketing Kim Hodges said, “This is one of the ways First State Bank gives back to the community.” She said the bank will be doing this two other times this year.
