Athens Middle School participants were honored to meet Senator John Cornyn as they toured the Capitol in Washington, D.C. The students also toured Mt. Vernon, the Smithsonian Museums, the Holocaust Museum, National Archives, Arlington National Cemetery, the Memorials, and Jamestown and Williamsburg. Teacher Kelli Miller said she plans to make this an annual trip for AMS students.
