Construction is right on the edge, especially at the back of a lot being used for the new J.D. Tenders Restaurant, yet to be built on South Palestine Street. The wall of dirt in back will soon be a replaced retaining wall, as part of the project. The total price of the project, including the wall and the building housing the restaurant, will be more than $600,000, according to Joe McInnis, of McInnis Construction of Silsbee, general contractor for the project. McInnis said the construction should be completed by January or February.
